Information to inspire you to explore Kenya's Wild Places
Masai Mara is certainly the jewel in the crown of Kenya Safari destinations. Masai Mara Safaris offers it’s participants the best wildlife viewing in Africa! It is one of the few places where you can actually encounter a congregation of all sorts of animals in a five-mile radius.
The best thing the Mara has to offer is the wildebeest migration. Each year, almost one million wildebeest, zebras and other plains game migrate from Tanzania's Serengeti to the south of Kenya's Masai Mara in search of lush grazing grounds. As June moves into July, the mass of animals continue to head north along the western edge of the park towards an even riskier barrier: the Mara River in the north of the Serengeti. These river crossings are arguably one of the most exciting wildlife events on Earth; they usually start at the onset of high season in July, but timing all depends on nature.
Experience everything best about the arid, harsh environment of Samburu Reserve in Northern Kenya. The reserve lies on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River which attracts and sustains animals through the dry season. Being more of an off-the-beaten-path destination, Samburu is a very rewarding; it offers unique experiences and excellent game viewing. Samburu Safari will appeal as much to the safari first-timer as it will to the veteran as game viewing is superb and there are adventure activities and fascinating cultural interactions too.
In addition to tremendous game viewing, Tsavo and Amboseli Safaris afford you varied landscapes; millions of acres of pure wilderness made of savannah, ranges/hills, acacia, montane forest and extensive river system.
When you book a Tsavo and Amboseli Safari, you immerses yourself into the epitome of the African bush, with mile upon mile of arid, thorny scrubland sweeping to the horizon - mesmerizing vast open spaces. While Tsavo will give you a wild and undiscovered feeling, Amboseli will leave you in awe - the breathtaking view of elephants wandering past Mount Kilimanjaro!
